Founded in 1991, we are a thriving Group based in Sutton Coldfield and part of the Ramblers.  We have over 395 members and offer a wide variety of events to suit most age groups and abilities.

Our walks vary in length from 6 to 14 miles and cover the counties of Staffordshire, Derbyshire, Warwickshire, Gloucestershire and the West Midlands.  Monthly, trips to areas of outstanding natural beauty further a field are made by coach and, occasionally, walking weekends are organised in the UK.  The Group actively supports and promotes the charitable aims of the Ramblers.

Ramblers exists to facilitate, for the benefit of everyone, the enjoyment and discovery that walking outdoors can bring; and to promote respect for the life of the countryside. We encourage walking; protect rights of way; defend the beauty of the countryside; and we have campaigned for many years for freedom to roam over uncultivated, open country. Ramblers is a democratic, voluntary organisation, registered as a charity (no.1093577).

In 1946, Ramblers Holidays were set up by a band of keen Ramblers members with the idea that if they could operate walking holidays perhaps any excesses made could support the Association.
